Sergeant Fektrin commanded a team within the Alliance to Restore the Republic's 61st Mobile Infantry, known as Fektrin's squad. The 61st Mobile Infantry conducted a raid on an Imperial heavy freighter in 3 ABY. A group of three engineers was escorted by the squad to retrieve necessary resources for the CR90 corvette Thunderstrike, the unit's ship. During the ensuing combat, Cappandar, a trooper within their ranks, was downed after sustaining twelve blaster hits. Fektrin guided the surviving members of the squad toward a designated meeting point, where the engineers accessed a computer terminal. As Imperial reinforcements materialized, the squads received orders to retreat to their escape pods; during the retreat, Fektrin met his end. Subsequently, the alien Mzun assumed command of the squad.
In 2015, Battlefront: Twilight Company, a novel penned by Alexander Freed, featured Fektrin's squad.
