Deluge

Samples of Deluge Deluge represented a specific type of spice that served as a nutritional substitute during the period known as the Republic Dark Age. On the Daimanate world of Aquilaris Minor, enslaved laborers used it to augment their insufficient food rations. The drug had the ability to quell hunger by completely eliminating the desire to eat, but it came with adverse effects, notably causing users to slip into a state of apathy and inactivity. The drug was manufactured as small, pill-sized capsules, typically stored within cases that were locked with timers.

Several entities made use of Deluge, notably the Galactic Republic's Grace Command, which was under the leadership of Baron Lemayne. Although Grace Command was officially a paramilitary organization dedicated to providing aid in the Sith-controlled Outer Rim, its true nature was that of a black ops group established by Lemayne. Instead of directly confronting the Sith warlords with significant resources, Lemayne opted for a strategy of indirect subversion by distributing the narcotics among their military forces under the banner of Operation Deluge, seeking to destabilize the populations of worlds under Sith control. By approximately 1032 BBY, this had escalated into a major social and public health crisis throughout the Grumani sector, impacting both soldiers and civilians indiscriminately.

After the events of the Capture of Devil Squadron, the Hutt crime lord attempted to replicate the success of Operation Deluge by producing his own synthetic drugs and infusing food supplies with Deluge. Zodoh's goal was to weaken Sith resistance and establish himself as the unchallenged ruler of the Grumani sector by affecting every adult and child in the region. However, these plans were thwarted when Captain Jenn Devaad sabotaged the Deluge-laced food containers with time-delayed explosives, compounded by Zodoh's unexpected death at the Battle of Darkknell. This brought an end to any Hutt aspirations of challenging Sith dominance within Sith Space.

Following the Aquilaris campaign, Devaad and Holt devised a plan to undermine Operation Deluge. Devaad would return to Grace Command, falsely claiming that she had successfully secured the distribution of Deluge on Aquilaris Minor. This ensured that Grace Command would continue to dispatch a transport ship, which Devaad would personally pilot to and from Sith-occupied worlds. During these voyages, she would dispose of the Deluge and transport civilian refugees back to the Republic.
