Fruit punch


Fruit punch was a potable fruit drink, orange-colored in appearance, that could be consumable by both humans and the species known as Ithorians. This beverage was often served in glasses, sometimes adorned with a slice of magenta-colored fruit as a decorative element.

In the year 40 BBY, Princess Fanry of Pijal, a human, was present at a private yacht gathering. This event, held on the planet [Pijal](/article/pijal] located in the Inner Rim, was sponsored by the Czerka Corporation and celebrated her upcoming coronation. While in conversation with Meritt Col, the company's Sector Supervisor, she took sips from a pink glass filled with fruit punch. Separately, at some point in time, the Ithorian named [Momaw Nadon](/article/momaw_nadon] was observed drinking fruit punch while sitting within Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina, situated in the Mos Eisley spaceport on the [Outer Rim](/article/outer_rim_territories] world of Tatooine.

Behind the scenes

The initial mention of fruit punch happened in Star Wars Workbook: 3rd Grade Math, a work by Claire Piddock and Megan Butler that was released in 2017 as a component of the Star Wars Workbooks series. The drink was used as part of a fictional math problem where Maz Kanata, a smuggler queen, divided thirty-two liters of fruit punch equally among eight glasses. Fruit punch made its debut in Master & Apprentice, a 2019 novel penned by Claudia Gray. In the real world, fruit punch is a drink that is made from a blend of fruit juices that are combined with either water or soda water, and is often served iced.
