The G9 Rigger-class light freighter, known also as the G9 Rigger freighter, represented a light freighter design produced by the Corellian Engineering Corporation and put into service throughout the Clone Wars. Its armament consisted solely of small blaster cannons mounted on both the wings and the freighter's dorsal surface. A G9 Rigger, named the Twilight, was obtained by Jedi General Anakin Skywalker during the Battle of Teth; he maintained ownership of it as a pet project during the war, frequently modifying and repairing it, until the Shadow Collective ultimately destroyed it.
A G9, named the Sunburst, was utilized by the Bridger family during the Imperial Era. In the time after the Battle of Yavin, the Hutt Clan employed G9s to move illicit goods to their many customers via contraband trade ports, including a cell of the Rebel Alliance functioning on Tatooine. Furthermore, the Hackjackers, a criminal organization, also utilized a G9.
