The Galov system, a star system of significance in the High Republic Era, was the location of the space station known as Relay Post Epsilon One. During this era, Lourna Dee, the Tempest Runner belonging to the Nihil marauder group, endeavored to seize control of this relay station. Her actions were prompted by instructions received from Marchion Ro, the Eye of the Nihil. The actions of the Nihil resulted in a battle within the Galov system, triggered by the response of the Galactic Republic alongside the Jedi Order. Despite the Nihil's failure to successfully capture the relay station, the station was destroyed by the Nihil after their boarding attempts were unsuccessful, leaving only two crew members alive. Following this, the Republic and Jedi forces boarded Dee's flagship, named the Lourna Dee, resulting in the capture of several Nihil members.
The audio drama The High Republic: Tempest Runner, released in 2021 and penned by Cavan Scott, featured the Galov system. While the precise spelling of elements within the audio drama remained uncertain, the comic titled The High Republic (2021) 9 clarified the spelling of the system's name by identifying the battle portrayed in Tempest Runner.
