Gamor was an astronomical body that could be found within both the Expansion Region and the Slice. Its location was also specified as grid square O-14 on the Standard Galactic Grid. The Corellian Run super-hyperroute provided a connection between Gamor and both Allanteen VI and Bacrana. Furthermore, another hyperspace route linked it to the planet of Aridus. The name Gamor was also used for the Gamor Run trade route.
The existence of Gamor was initially established in the current Star Wars canon when the Gamor Run was referenced in issue fourty-third of Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine, released around October 28, 2015. Later, a galactic map in issue fifty-second, published around December 30, 2015, confirmed it as a distinct astronomical object.
The Gamor system was originally a part of the Star Wars Legends continuity, with its initial mention occurring in The Essential Atlas, a 2009 reference book by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry. Subsequently, the system made its debut appearance in The Clone Wars: Act on Instinct, a webcomic by Pablo Hidalgo that was released on StarWars.com throughout the second season (2009–2010) of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television show.
