Gelba was a Human woman originating from the world of Doan. She was a representative of a group of mining laborers who launched a rebellion against the Doan Royal House in the era after the conclusion of the New Sith Wars. In the year 980 BBY, Gelba commanded her troops to force Prince Gerran's airspeeder to make an unplanned landing, but the prince tragically died during this assault. His spouse, Princess Serra, fell into despair, and her protector, Lucia, encountered the Iktotchi killer known as Huntress at Paradise and employed her to murder Gelba. Simultaneously, the Jedi Order dispatched Jedi Knight Medd Tandar to mediate between the rebels and the Royal Family, and to retrieve dark side relics unearthed on the planet. While Gelba was in a meeting with Tandar, they were assaulted by the Huntress, who fatally shot Gelba, immediately ending her life, before also killing Tandar and all the other miners present.
