A civil war erupted on the celestial body known as Gerrigon at some point at or before 19 BBY. Gerrigon was once a flourishing center of both culture and trade, prior to the outbreak of this internal conflict. However, the civil war proved to be utterly ruinous for Gerrigon. The Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order did not offer assistance, which resulted in a massacre where the majority of Gerrigon's population perished. With thousands left to perish on each side of the struggle, Gerrigon became depopulated. The urban landscapes were overtaken by nature, though stories suggest that the souls of those who died now haunt the deserted structures.
The 2024 comic series, Star Wars: Inquisitors, specifically its second issue, referenced this civil war. Rodney Barnes wrote the comic, Ramon Rosanas provided the illustrations, and Marvel Comics released it on August 7, 2024.
