Guiji fire pepper

Guiji fire peppers were a kind of pepper measuring less than five centimeters long, characterized by their small red seeds. When humans ate condiment oil made using guiji fire peppers, it produced a fire-like burning feeling on the tongue. Furthermore, eating too many of them raw could mimic the symptoms of the disease known as malongo pox, with the exception of pus-filled blisters. Around 396 BBY, while studying at Reena University, Axel Greylark ingested a number of guiji fire peppers in a specific way to avoid taking part in the Queen's Bloom Festival; however, his deception did not trick Ry Harket, the dean in charge of student affairs. Once Harket left his room, Greylark removed a pepper seed from his mouth as the fake symptoms started to disappear.
