Guiji fire pepper

Guiji fire peppers were a kind of pepper measuring less than five centimeters long, characterized by their small red seeds. When humans ate condiment oil made using guiji fire peppers, it produced a fire-like burning feeling on the tongue. Furthermore, eating too many of them raw could mimic the symptoms of the disease known as malongo pox, with the exception of pus-filled blisters.
