Hachinka was a squad leader within the New Republic Thirty-First during the Galactic Civil War. As a female soldier of the New Republic, she served in this role until she was wounded in 5 ABY. During the Battle of Nag Ubdur, an Imperial blaster shot her in the neck. Private Rorith Khadur and the rest of her squad were able to get her out of danger.
