Rebel heavy weapon specialists, also known as Heavy Soldiers, were specialized soldiers serving in the Rebel Alliance and later in the New Republic. These troopers wielded powerful weaponry such as the DLT-19 heavy blaster rifles or Z-6 rotary blaster cannons, enabling them to deal significant damage, especially against shields. They utilized lightweight armor to enhance their movement capabilities.
The Heavy Soldiers make appearances in Star Wars: Commander, the mobile game released in 2014, and also in Star Wars Battlefront II, the videogame from 2017, albeit with a visually distinct design.
