The DLT-19 heavy blaster rifle, a product of BlasTech Industries, was a specific model of heavy blaster rifle. Stormtroopers and Heavy Weapons Stormtroopers within the Galactic Empire commonly utilized them; however, groups such as the Alliance to Restore the Republic and various bounty hunters also employed them.
BlasTech Industries was the manufacturer of the DLT-19 heavy blaster rifle. Notable for its rapid firing rate and capacity to inflict substantial damage at extended distances, it was typically deployed to suppress enemy forces and eliminate sizable enemy groups. The DLT-19x targeting blaster and the DLT-19D heavy blaster rifle represent two distinct versions of the DLT-19. Both of these variants can be classified as longblasters. The DLT-19 used by the LOM-series bounty hunter 4-LOM could fire both standard blaster bolts and electromagnetic pulses. Zuckuss, a Gand bounty hunter and 4-LOM's partner, occasionally used the DLT-19 as a sniper rifle.

The Imperial Military frequently used the DLT-19. It was a weapon used by standard stormtroopers as well as specialized units like sandtroopers, Heavy Weapons Stormtroopers, magma troopers, and shadow troopers. Dengar, a bounty hunter, also employed the DLT-19. Despite its widespread adoption by Imperial forces, some Heavy Soldiers within the Alliance to Restore the Republic also utilized this blaster.
Dengar, the bounty hunter who previously used the similarly-named DLT-18 laser rifle during the [Clone Wars](/article/clone_wars], favored the DLT-19 as his weapon of choice during the Imperial Era. A B1-KX monster droid belonging to the Droid Crush Pirates of Bestoon used a DLT-19 in an assassination attempt against Jul Tambor, a Skakoan revolutionary. After Tambor evaded a missile fired by the monster droid's partner, another B1-KX unit using a missile launcher, he shot that unit, causing its head to detach. The headless B1-KX, still functioning, demanded revenge from their partner, which the DLT-19-equipped droid promised. However, Sabé, an Imperial agent, then decapitated the DLT-19 unit. Both droids survived as heads, vowing that the Droid Crush would eventually kill Tambor. Following the fall of the Empire, certain stormtroopers within Gideon's Imperial remnant continued to use the DLT-19.
The DLT-19 heavy blaster rifle made its debut in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, with its official identification occurring in the 2015 reference work, Ultimate Star Wars. Its original design was inspired by the German MG 34.
