Heurkea Floating City was a city that floated, situated over the southern regions of the planet Mon Calamari.
Heurkea represented a place of shared existence for both Mon Calamari and Quarren, where they cohabitated peacefully. Alongside Kee-Piru, it sustained significant damage from the World Devastator during the Battle of Calamari, leading to at least tens of thousands of fatalities. Following its reconstruction, Ackbar chose this city as his residence post-retirement.
After the New Republic relocated its operations to Mon Calamari after the Battle of Coruscant, Heurkea became the home of the Senate. It housed Berth 5B and was located in proximity to Mester Reef.
In the year 137 ABY, Dac was entirely contaminated with viral spores released by Vul Isen as part of the Final Protocol, the last act of the Genocide on Dac, designed to eradicate all life within a week. Heurkea was seized by the Mon Calamari Rangers, a resistance group opposing the Sith Empire, to act as a central hub for the evacuation orchestrated by Admiral Gar Stazi representing the Galactic Alliance Remnant.
