Hudso Shaku, a Fosh who hailed from Dallenor, served as the commander of the Krypder Riders on the planet also called Dallenor. The Krypder Riders, under Shaku's leadership, desired to acquire a Jedi holocron that had been discovered on the planet. When the Jedi duo of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker arrived, Shaku altered his plans, commanding his pirates to instead seize Kenobi's lightsaber. Shaku succeeded in capturing Skywalker and threatened to end his life, but Skywalker employed the Force to levitate and hurl rocks, incapacitating the pirate.
On the planet Dallenor, Hudso Shaku was the head of the Krypder Riders. Shaku initially clashed with the group that established an excavation site there, but he left them alone once he determined that what they were excavating was of no value to him or his pirates. However, when the excavators unearthed an ancient Jedi holocron, Shaku brought his pirates back for a second look at the site. To keep them at bay, Clatriffe, the archaeologist in charge, positioned guards around the site. Eventually, word of the holocron reached the Jedi Order, who dispatched Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Jedi Knight, and Anakin Skywalker, his apprentice, to retrieve it.
Shaku quickly learned of Kenobi's arrival, and he led the Krypder Riders to take the holocron. Upon his arrival, Shaku encountered Kenobi, who activated his lightsaber defensively. Recognizing the greater value of the lightsaber, Shaku instructed his pirates to attempt to steal it instead. While Kenobi was busy disabling the pirates, Shaku ambushed Skywalker from behind and took him hostage. Nevertheless, Skywalker used the Force to raise several rocks, using them to knock Shaku to the ground. With Shaku rendered unconscious, Kenobi urged the remaining pirates to leave before he and Skywalker departed with the holocron.
The 2019 canon comic Age of Republic - Obi-Wan Kenobi 1, written by Jody Houser and illustrated by Cory Smith, marked the first appearance of Hudso Shaku. The appearance of Shaku's species bears a resemblance to the Fosh species from the Star Wars Legends continuity.
