The Hurrim, a group of pirates operating in the Outer Rim, were commanded by Golov Nakhym. They maintained a cooperative relationship with both Dunari and the Rebel Alliance starting in 3 ABY, which dissolved following an event within the Nezni system.
Dunari, the gambling entrepreneur and owner of the casino known as Dunari's Rest, had a deal with the Alliance to share cargo, and he employed the Hurrim for security and military support. The Hurrim then requested that Dunari and the Alliance assist them in raiding a civilian transport fleet that was traveling through the Nezni system. Admiral Yamarus complied by dispatching a starfighter squadron from the Alliance battleship Liberty, which included Ace Azzameen and Olin Garn.
Although the cargo was successfully seized, the Hurrim then revealed their cruel nature by opening fire on the defenseless civilians. Horrified, Dunari and the Alliance commanded the squadron to engage the Hurrim, driving them away. However, the reputations of both Dunari and the Alliance were severely damaged.
In response, Dunari terminated his agreement with the Hurrim and placed bounties on their heads. In retaliation, this group of Preybird pilots continued to steal cargo, falsely claiming it was for the Alliance. They also exposed the agreement between Dunari's Rest and the Rebellion, prompting the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Corrupter, under the command of Admiral Garreth Holtz, to attack the casino, while the Liberty and its squadrons oversaw the evacuation.
Frustrated with the Hurrim's actions, the Alliance and Dunari launched a full-scale assault against the Hurrim's nearby asteroid base. They successfully rescued Dunari's personnel, destroyed the base, and captured the infamous Golov Nakhym. A last-ditch rescue attempt by the Corrupter failed, leaving the Star Destroyer and the Hurrim devastated.
