At least two people served as the mother and father of Imara Vex, a human woman. At an age too early for her to recall, she experienced her final encounter with her mother and father. Vex joined the Orphans, a squad of soldiers commanded by the bounty hunter Chanath Cha, sometime between 3 ABY and 4 ABY. It was during this period that the group had a conversation regarding the significance of their group's title. As the droid Ladybright started to speak concerning Vex, the female cut in to tell the squad the story of her last time seeing her parents, and how she believed they could still be living.
The existence of Imara Vex's parents was revealed in the comic miniseries Star Wars: Crimson Reign's initial installment in 2021. Charles Soule penned the issue, and Marvel Comics released it on December 8, 2021.
