Ladybright, also referred to as Bright, was a droid who was a member of the Orphans, a group under the leadership of bounty hunter Chanath Cha. Like the other members of the Orphans—who, as the group's name implied, had lost their parents—Ladybright was the final model produced from her factory production line. Her arsenal consisted of two DC-15A blaster carbines, and a sniper rifle was carried on her back. During the time of the Galactic Empire, the Orphans were brought into the schemes of Lady Qi'ra, the head of the Crimson Dawn criminal organization. As a component of Qi'ra's objective to eliminate the Sith Darth Sidious and Darth Vader, Ladybright and the Orphans launched attacks on rival criminal organizations to incite conflict between them.
After Qi'ra's allies, "The Archivist" and Kho Phon Farrus, failed to open the Fermata Cage, Vader appeared on the planet where they were, and the Orphans were dispatched to extract them and the Fermata Cage. Cha ordered Vex and Ladybright to board their Starship, the Siroto, while she and Sear fought against Vader. During the conflict, Sear was killed, and Vex was knocked off the ship and landed in a jungle. Ladybright made contact with Qi'ra and requested that she dispatch the Dawn Fleet so they could rescue Cha and then make their escape back to Dawnfall Base. Qi'ra, however, denied the request and instructed Ladybright to return to her and do nothing else. Ladybright refused to flee, declaring that while Qi'ra provided employment, Cha provided Ladybright with a home, and she turned the ship around to assist Cha. However, the Archivist then destroyed Ladybright and took control of the Siroto to escape the planet. As Ladybright was destroyed, Cha was stabbed in the chest by Vader, dying with the belief that Ladybright had aided the Fermata Cage in escaping with Qi'ra's allies.
