Incident on Dac

The short-lived conflict known as the Incident on Dac involved Imperial Knights Sigel Dare and Treis Sinde. The skirmish was brought to a halt by the intervention of Jedi Master Asaak Dan.

Background

Emperor Roan Fel ordered Sinde, who was aiding the Mon Calamari Rangers on Dac, to go back to Bastion. Sinde hesitated, believing that his presence on Dac, assisting the Mon Calamari who were being targeted for extermination by Darth Krayt's Sith Empire, was serving the Force. Emperor Fel, however, desired the Knight's return to Bastion for the purpose of training new Imperial Knights. Consequently, he dispatched Master Dare to retrieve him.

Dare utilized a shuttle acquired from the Galactic Alliance Remnant—it had originally been part of the complement aboard the Imperious-class Star Destroyer Alliance that the Alliance had stolen a few months prior—to circumvent Dac's security measures. She was accompanied by Jedi Master Asaak Dan, who was part of a delegation of Jedi sent to forge an Alliance with Admiral Gar Stazi's Alliance Remnant.

Knight against Knight

Upon meeting with Sinde, Dare was informed that he would not be returning with her, despite her efforts. He expressed his belief that the Force willed him to remain on Dac and support the Rangers. Dare did not take kindly to this decision. She ignited her lightsaber and threatened to kill Sinde if he refused to return to Bastion. Sinde countered that an Imperial Knight's allegiance was to the Force as embodied by the Emperor, not personally to the Emperor (a point he felt younger knights were losing sight of). Dare responded by attacking her former master.

The two Knights continued their duel until Master Dan intervened. After using a Force push to subdue Dare, he proposed a compromise. Dan suggested that if Sinde truly felt the Imperial Knights were prioritizing duty to the Emperor over the Force, he should return to Bastion to correct their understanding. However, he also recognized the Rangers' need for assistance and offered to take Sinde's place with them if he agreed to return to Bastion. Recognizing the wisdom in Dan's proposal, Sinde accepted and prepared to depart Dac with Master Dare.

Following the confrontation, Sinde reprimanded Dare for attacking Dan's attempt to stop their fight. Dare stated that Dan had annoyed her, but reluctantly acknowledged his bravery and skill.
