Intimidator

The Intimidator served the Galactic Empire as an Imperial I-class Star Destroyer. Commanded by Admiral Gorin, it took part in the Battle of Scarif during 1 BBY. In that battle, the Star Destroyer Persecutor collided with it, after being pushed by the Sphyrna-class Hammerhead corvette named Lightmaker. The resulting debris from all three ships subsequently crashed into the Scarif Shield Gate, leading to its destruction.

Behind the scenes

The film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, released in 2016, marked the initial appearance of the Intimidator. Its name was revealed in "Sacred Ground," a piece by Joe Fordham that was featured in issue 151 of the February 2017 issue of Cinefex magazine. Prior to this, John Knoll had verified on Reddit that the ships involved in the collision were "the Persecutor and the Intimidator," also noting that the ILM crew affectionately called them "Timmy and Percy." The reference book Star Wars: Geektionary: The Galaxy from A - Z, published on November 15, 2017, formally substantiated the names that had been mentioned in the Cinefex article.
