The Jadthu-class landing ship, a type of landing craft, was conceived by Incom Corporation and brought to fruition by Republic Sienar Systems. Initially, these vessels served the Grand Army of the Republic as cargo carriers throughout the duration of the Clone Wars. Later, the Jadthu-class landing ship underwent enhancements, becoming orbital dropships intended for the deployment of clone troopers. When the Galactic Republic was transformed into the Galactic Empire, the Imperial Navy chose to decommission the Jadthu-class. Nevertheless, some examples of this class ended up in the possession of the Rebel Alliance, as well as various mercenary groups and criminal syndicates.
