James Burns

James Burns is the proprietor of Jedi News, a UK-based website dedicated to Star Wars, which he established back in May of 2007.

At Celebration V in 2010, Jimmy Mac and Jason Swank from The ForceCast connected James with Dan Curto, a former Rebel Scum writer, to create a new ForceCast podcast called Collector's Edition. James and Curto served as co-hosts of the show for a period of 18 months, starting in September 2010. The final episode of the nearly 30 shows produced as part of the ForceCast network aired in early March 2012, highlighting news from the US Toy Fair held in February 2012. On April 1, 2012, Curto and Burns made an appearance on the April Fools Day 340th episode of Star Wars Action News, alongside special guest Stephen J. Sansweet. Their own podcast, The Curto Burns Collectors Cast, debuted in the summer of 2012.

During the closing day of Celebration VI in August 2012, stormtroopers disrupted a recording session of the Curto Burns Collectors Cast. With the assistance of Steve Sansweet, they formally inducted James as an Honorary Friend of the 501st.

His work as a freelance contributor to the Star Wars Insider publication commenced with Star Wars Insider 110 in June of 2009. For the magazine, James has conducted interviews with Kenny Baker, Matthew Wood, David Acord, Hugh Quarshie, David Iskra, Dee Bradley Baker, and Catherine Taber. Furthermore, he has been a contributor to the My Star Wars section since Star Wars Insider 130, collaborating with Mark Newbold.
