Jenneth Pilar was a male human Imperial officer who served the Galactic Empire during the inaugural year of its reign. Previously, Pilar was a freelance broker, arranging transactions among merchants, smugglers, and purchasers. He transitioned to Imperial service as a nonmilitary officer, tasked with calculating how to fulfill the Empire's insatiable demand for various supplies and commodities. He masterminded and supervised the occupation of Raada, computing the labor, production, and yield statistics for the Empire's takeover of the moon. This resulted in the oppression of its farm workers so that the Empire could maximize food production. Pilar disregarded the unsustainable nature of this practice, unconcerned about rendering Raada uninhabitable for future generations. Following an attack on the moon's Imperial base by local rebels, including a Force-sensitive individual, which led to the arrival of the Sixth Brother, an Imperial Inquisitor, Pilar deserted Imperial service in an attempt to evade potential retribution.
Jenneth Pilar made his initial appearance in the 2016 novel Ahsoka, penned by E. K. Johnston. Pilar's surname originated from Kevin Pillar, a Baseball Major League center fielder who formerly played for the Toronto Blue Jays. While Johnston, herself a Canadian, was naming the characters in Ahsoka, Pillar was performing exceptionally well during spring training.
