Jondora, a planet of terrestrial classification, served as the location where the salyard boss Salman Paak participated in a separatist conference during 7 BBY. During this gathering, Paak encountered a woman who persuaded him to serve as a connection for his home planet, Ferrix, once he returned. Consequently, Paak received a fractal radio, which he and the mechanic Bix Caleen employed to maintain contact with an elusive anti-Imperial network. During the occupation of Ferrix by the Empire, Paak was apprehended, and following questioning, he recounted his meeting on Jondora to Dedra Meero, a supervisor within the Empire's Imperial Security Bureau.
The initial reference to Jondora occurred in the episode "Nobody's Listening!," which is the ninth episode of the first season of Andor, a live-action Disney+ series created by Tony Gilroy. Toby Haynes directed this episode, which was broadcast on November 2, 2022. The astronomical body Jondora, initially part of the Star Wars Legends universe, was first alluded to in "Profiteering," a Slicing Crew Skill mission featured in Star Wars: The Old Republic, the 2011 multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by BioWare.
