Ferrix occupation

The Ferrix occupation refers to the Galactic Empire's takeover of the planet Ferrix, an event that unfolded in 5 BBY. The ambush on Ferrix led to the Preox-Morlana's authority over the Morlani system being revoked. Following this revocation, the Empire established an Imperial garrison on Ferrix, setting up their command center within Hotel Rix.

Initially, ISB Supervisor Blevin was in charge of the occupation. He reassigned Chief Inspector Hyne, Deputy Inspector Syril Karn, and Sergeant Linus Mosk away from Ferrix. Subsequently, control of the Morlani system was handed over to Supervisor Dedra Meero, Blevin's colleague within the Imperial Security Bureau, a change mandated by Major Lio Partagaz.

Pre-occupation

Back in 5 BBY, Cassian Jeron Andor killed two Pre-Mor Security officers, specifically Verlo Skiff and Kravas Drezzer. This act occurred while Cassian was searching for his sister, Kerri, on Morlana One. Despite Chief Inspector Hyne's instructions to suppress the incident, Deputy Inspector Syril Karn commenced an investigation into the deaths of Skiff and Drezzer. Karn tracked Andor to Ferrix, his homeworld, and commanded a Pre-Mor Enforcement group, supported by Sergeant Linus Mosk. However, Andor managed to evade capture with the assistance of Luthen Rael. The mission resulted in the deaths of several Pre-Mor officers.

The occupation

As a consequence of the Ferrix incident, the Galactic Empire took control of the Morlani system from Preox-Morlana. The Imperial Army then established a garrison on Ferrix, seizing a hotel situated on Rix Road for use as their central headquarters. ISB Supervisor Blevin, an agent of the Imperial Security Bureau, was sent from Coruscant to oversee the Empire's rule within the Morlani system. Blevin accused Hyne, Karn, and Mosk of incompetence and ordered them to report to a transfer center, while he supervised the establishment of permanent Imperial control within the Free Trade sector. Nevertheless, Major Partagaz later reassigned jurisdiction of the system to ISB Supervisor Dedra Meero, after she convinced him that the Ferrix incident was linked to a larger rebel network.
