Kalarba was a planetary body situated within the Mid Rim region of the galaxy. This planet orbited by a number of moons, notably one that hosted the Imperial space station known as Hosk Station, which was constructed encompassing the entire lunar surface. In the time of the Galactic Civil War, the Ishi Tib pilot named Sata Neek asserted that he, along with Riot Squadron (an RZ-1 A-wing interceptor squadron belonging to the Alliance to Restore the Republic), and their leader Creel, had spent six hours scouring Kalarba for a rebel installation. According to Neek, they only discovered the search was based on Creel's confusion of a flight simulator exercise with actual redeployment instructions. Kamala, another member of the squadron, questioned the accuracy of Neek's account.
