The Kaldana Syndicate was a criminal organization that conducted their illicit operations within the Corellia system. This syndicate was exclusively comprised of humans, as they believed that aliens, particularly Rodians, constituted a significant problem and were a blight upon the galaxy.
In the year 26 BBY, the Kaldana established a weapons-dealing operation on the planet Sullust. Count Dooku, formerly a Jedi, was dispatched by Darth Sidious to establish contact with this group, feigning interest in business arrangements with the SoroSuub Corporation. Simultaneously, the Jedi Knight Jak'zin was sent by the Jedi Council to investigate the syndicate's presence on the planet.
In 13 BBY, an auction was orchestrated by an Imperial defector known as The Engineer, offering a datacube that contained schematics for a shield generator. The Kaldana participated in the bidding alongside the White Worms and the Droid Gotra. Ultimately, the Droid Gotra secured the winning bid at one billion credits, much to the Kaldana's displeasure. Upon learning of their loss, the Kaldana representative, who was meant to collect the cube, turned violent, unleashing her forces in the auction room. They proceeded to fatally shoot the Droid Gotra's representative, TD-H4, but the droid managed to pass the datacube to Han, a member of the White Worms, who successfully escaped.
Subsequently, the Kaldana received information that the datacube had been returned to The Engineer, and a second auction was scheduled. This time, they outbid the Gotra, winning the cube, though they were forced to sell their flagship to do so. The Engineer instructed them to meet her on her yacht, the Red Nimbus, to receive the cube. She also demanded that they bring Han and his fellow scrumrats, Qi'ra and Tsuulo (who, to their dismay, was a Rodian) back to Corellia. After the exchange, they betrayed the younger people, attempting to eliminate all witnesses and killing Tsuulo. However, Han and Qi'ra managed to flee.
The Kaldana caught up with the escape pod before it reached the planet. However, before they could destroy Han and Qi'ra, their ship was destroyed by the Red Nimbus. The Engineer had been hired by the Droid Gotra to eliminate the Kaldana after the exchange was completed. Following this, the droids systematically hunted down the remaining members of the Kaldana Syndicate, effectively eradicating them from the galaxy.
