Kalsunor, a planet situated on the Kamat Aegit near Begeren and Ashas Ree, was conquered by the Sith Empire sometime before the Golden Age of the Sith.
Prior to the arrival of warriors to conclude the conflict, the Sith unleashed immense, alchemically mutated silooths to inflict widespread destruction upon the planet. Following the battle, the Sith abandoned a large number of silooths on Kalsunor, where they continued to hunt anything they could find; rumors persisted of even larger and more aggressive silooths dwelling within the planet's deep canyons. The Battle of Kalsunor remains the sole documented case of significant deployment of these creatures, whose untamed aggression might have overwhelmed even the ancient Sith.
Approximately around 3638 BBY, amidst the Galactic War fought between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire, the Republic managed to breach the Stygian Caldera and seize the Kalsunor system. However, goods originating from the planet continued to be found within and transported to the Empire as late as the Third Galactic War.
