Biography

Kane was a devotee of the Path of the Open Hand cult, specifically within its sub-group known as the Path of the Closed Fist. During the year 382 BBY, he accompanied other Path members on a starship, tasked with transporting a multitude of eggs of the Nameless species. Subsequent to their vessel's involvement in a skirmish with the Galactic Republic Pathfinder ship Witherbloom, both ships experienced crash landings upon a desolate, rocky planet. This event resulted in the rupture of one of the Nameless eggs, thereby unleashing the creature. The Witherbloom pathfinder team, including its Jedi contingent, then initiated an exploration of the wrecked Path vessel. The man occupied a control room when Jedi Master Rok Buran and his Padawan, Coron Solstus, both affiliated with the Witherbloom pathfinder team, entered the space. As they began to experience the debilitating effects of the liberated Nameless being, the man launched an assault upon them. He targeted Coron initially, catching him off guard and even relieving him of his lightsaber. However, Buran intervened to defend his Padawan, severing the man's weapon with a strike. Buran held his lightsaber toward the man and threatened him against making another move, though the man suggested the Jedi was unlikely to hurt an unarmed man. When Solstus discussed the weird feeling they had had, the Path member said he was glad to see a Jedi cowed and accused them of being just as lost as the rest of them. After Coron bound his hands with the ship's wires, he inquired about the Path of the Open Hand. Kane declared that the Path's hand had transformed into a fist, poised to retaliate against its adversaries. He accused the Jedi of being said opposition and citing the Battle of Jedha as their proof. He asserted that the battle demonstrated the Jedi's insatiable appetite for conflict and said he had watched the Jedi bend the Living Force, something the Path saw as taboo. When Solstus inquired about the nature of the entity outside, Kane ominously stated that it would bring the Jedi to their knees.

The Jedi maintained the man's confinement for a period before resolving to alert Sula and the others about the creature, bringing Kane along. Upon exiting the ship and questioning their strategy of attempting to evade the Nameless, Kane derisively remarked that the Path would effortlessly overcome the Jedi if they were all as intellectually deficient as the two before him. The trio commenced their escape, with Buran propelling the man forward. However, the Jedi abruptly succumbed to the effects of the Nameless, causing the man to break free and surge ahead. Regrettably, the man's path intersected with the Nameless, resulting in his demise.
