A Jedi Order base existed on the Mid Rim world of Kashyyyk during the time of the High Republic Era; it was a Jedi outpost. This outpost was constructed to resemble an enormous tree dwelling, adhering to the Jedi principle of designing their bases to integrate seamlessly with the local environments and customs. In 232 BBY, Bell Zettifar, a Jedi Padawan stationed at the Elphrona Outpost located on the Outer Rim planet Elphrona, reflected on the Kashyyyk base and made mental comparisons to his own assignment.
Charles Soule mentioned the Jedi outpost on Kashyyyk in his 2021 novel, Light of the Jedi. This novel was part of Phase I of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project.
