Kazuda Xiono led a Starfighter Corps squadron of T-85 X-wing starfighters within the New Republic during the Cold War; this unit was under the direct command of Kazuda Xiono himself. After New Republic High Command obtained vital intelligence about First Order activities in the Outer Rim Territories of the galaxy, the squadron received orders to deliver the intelligence to the Resistance. During this mission, they encountered Major Elrik Vonreg of the First Order, who engaged them in combat. Xiono, prioritizing the mission's success, instructed his wingmates, Mia Gabon and Hugh Sion, to flee while he stayed to finish the task. Commander Poe Dameron's timely arrival allowed Xiono to repel Vonreg's TIE.
