The New Republic High Command, alternatively referred to as New Republic Command or simply Republic Command, served as the organizational structure for the New Republic Defense Force, overseeing its various branches.
Following the Battle of Endor, the Alliance to Restore the Republic underwent a transformation, becoming the New Republic. Simultaneously, the Alliance High Command was reformed into the New Republic High Command. After the Cerberon system campaign, General Hera Syndulla participated in a New Republic High Command meeting via hologram. This conference spanned at least two nights and centered on a conflict over agriworlds situated three sectors away from the Cerberon system. Despite incurring significant expenses, this conflict resulted in the acquisition of new supply ships destined for the planet Troithe.
During the conflict between the First Order and the Resistance, Republic Command held a different view than the Galactic Senate, acknowledging the First Order as a genuine threat. However, the Senate intervened, even issuing directives to prevent the Republic's military from engaging the Order in combat. General Leia Organa of the Resistance endeavored to procure undeniable proof of First Order breaches of the Galactic Concordance to present to both Republic Command and the Senate, aiming to shift their stance on the matter.
Eventually, New Republic Command obtained crucial intelligence that needed to reach the Resistance. Consequently, they assigned Republic pilot Kazuda Xiono and his squadron the task of delivering the intelligence to Commander Poe Dameron.
The policy of non-aggression ultimately proved disastrous when the First Order's Starkiller Base destroyed the Hosnian system, which, at that time, housed the Republic's capital world, Hosnian Prime. Similar to the New Republic Home Fleet, the High Command was obliterated in the explosion.
