Kee functioned as the companion to Hin, and was a member of the Yuzzem species.
Kee and Hin, like numerous other Yuzzem, were forced into servitude as a result of the Humanocentric doctrines implemented by the Galactic Empire. Their imposing physical power led to their assignment to mining operations on the jungle planet of Mimban, a world exploited by the Empire. When they voiced their discontent, the overseeing mining official responded by flaunting paperwork and ridiculing them. As a result, the two unhappy Yuzzem decided to use their equipment to fill the mine, rather than extract resources from it.
Captain-Supervisor Grammel, however, refrained from ordering their execution. This was due to the fact that a typical Yuzzem could accomplish three times the labor output of an average Human miner, coupled with the fact that both Yuzzem were heavily intoxicated. It's worth noting that this species experienced prolonged hangovers because of their considerable size. Consequently, the Yuzzem were placed in a high-security detention cell, a measure taken because of their immense strength.
In an unexpected turn of events, Rebel operatives Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa found themselves sharing the same cell due to overcrowding in the prison. During this period, the Rebels established a friendly relationship with Kee and Hin. When Grammel arrived at their cell to interrogate Luke and Leia, who had claimed to be escaped criminals from Circarpous IV nearby, Kee seized Grammel by the neck. A stormtrooper responded by shooting Kee, but the Yuzzem quickly recovered.
Later, Halla, who had previously befriended Luke and Leia, orchestrated the captives' escape from their cell. She used the Force to hurl a food tray at the photoplate located in the corridor, which triggered the cell doors to open. Thanks to the extraordinary strength of the two Yuzzem, the inmates and Halla successfully fled the base. They were then joined by the well-known droids R2-D2 and C-3PO, and they made their escape into the surrounding jungle aboard a commandeered military Swamp crawler.
Kee and Hin, along with their new allies, faced encounters with a gigantic Wandrella, a tribe of fiercely territorial Coway, and Imperial Stormtroopers who were dispatched to capture them. Tragically, they met their end while defending the swamp speeder against the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Vader at the Temple of Pomojema.
