Keldov nut pastries were a type of pastry characterized by a rich, dark brown crust, and they were crafted from keldov nuts. These pastries were edible for humans and could be purchased at Tal-Iree's, an eatery located on the planet of Coruscant during the era known as the High Republic Era. Avar Kriss, Elzar Mann, and Stellan Gios, when they were Padawans of the Jedi Order, frequented Tal-Iree's and developed a fondness for these buns.
Following Gios' death in 230 BBY, his companions, who had since become Jedi Masters, mourned his passing. In 228 BBY, Kriss, acting on old habits, initially ordered three keldov nut pastries from Tal-Iree's, forgetting that only two of them remained. She then took them to Mann's quarters situated within Coruscant's Jedi Temple. Mann noticed the number of pastries, which led Kriss to explain her actions. While sharing the treats, the two Jedi consumed diluted sourstone mead and discussed the current state of the galaxy's conflict with the Nihil marauders.
