Keln was a person the Ubese bounty hunter Boushh knew, having been born in 9 BBY. By the time 3 ABY rolled around, Keln had already died. During that year, specifically on what would have been Keln's twelfth birthday, Brene, who was part of Boushh's exiled Ubese crew, observed that Boushh seemed troubled. Because of this observation, she inquired if Boushh was alright. Boushh responded by saying he was fine, but then somberly mentioned that it was Keln's twelfth birthday. Following this, the other crew members shared their sympathy with Boushh, and they all went to acquire some food.
The one-shot comic War of the Bounty Hunters – Boushh 1 mentioned Keln; Alyssa Wong wrote it, and Marvel Comics released it on September 15, 2021. Before the issue was available, a preview mentioning Keln appeared on StarWars.com on September 8 of that same year.
