Kessel Station, positioned within the Kessel sector, functioned as a Golan III Space Defense NovaGun station under the control of the Galactic Empire. This station incorporated six Kessel Station Holding Cells, arranged with three on either side, structured as Cargo Facility 2s. The station's location was perilous because it was encircled by several black holes collectively known as the Maw, which made executing a blind hyperspace jump a dangerous proposition unless one possessed the knowledge of appropriate hyperspace routes. The process of calculating such a route proved to be both time-consuming and complex.
Antan Azzameen orchestrated a mission to the station, bringing along his nephews Emon Azzameen and Ace Azzameen, in addition to his niece Aeron Azzameen. He asserted that their father, Tomaas, and brother Galin were still alive and imprisoned at that location. Yet, this was a deception, as the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer called Devastator appeared with the objective of capturing the siblings, allowing Antan Azzameen, aboard the Big Score, to leave without interference. Luckily for the siblings, Dunari's ship, the Deadman's Hand, arrived just in time, providing them with a hyperspace route enabling their escape.
