Emon Azzameen, a Human male from the Legends continuity, possessed a fiery temperament and was the son of Tomaas Azzameen. He was also the middle child of the Azzameen siblings during the tumultuous era of the Galactic Civil War. As the second in line to inherit the family cargo company, Emon was a highly competent pilot. He commanded his own _Firespray_-class starship, known as the Andrasta.
Following Ace Azzameen's initial experience with live combat at Harlequin Station, Antan Azzameen suggested that he seek combat training from his older brother, Emon. Emon then instructed Ace on the fundamentals of target acquisition and firing from the Sabra's gun turret.
Emon participated in a raid targeting Viraxo 54. The purpose of the raid was to draw out the authorities, with the hope that they would uncover the spice being planted by Aeron Azzameen as retribution for a similar scheme orchestrated by the Viraxo. When Emon arrived, Aeron's ship, the Selu (disguised as the Venix for infiltration), had not yet completed its delivery. With their plan descending into chaos, Aeron was compelled to escape. However, the Viraxo disabled her vessel, forcing Emon to execute a rescue mission. After successfully extracting Aeron, Ace destroyed the Selu to conceal any evidence of the family's involvement.
Emon was with his family when Tomaas attempted to acquire bacta for a Rebel hospital. When black market bacta dealers, the Loose Cannon pirates, tried to capture the Azzameen family, Emon and his brothers defended themselves with deadly force. They successfully repelled the pirates. Despite Emon's vehement protests, the Azzameens chose not to destroy the pirates' starship, End Run. During the skirmish, Emon discovered a bottle of Zairona Ale and presented it to Ace, jokingly claiming it would promote hair growth in unexpected places, a claim based on his own experiences.
Emon went with Ace, Tomaas, and Galin to the Rebel hospital. When the Star Destroyer Corrupter attacked the Hospital, Emon assisted Ace in providing cover for the Rebel evacuation. Tragically, his father's ship, the Vasudra, was destroyed under heavy fire. Determined to prevent his youngest brother from suffering the same fate, Emon persuaded a reluctant Ace to abandon the battle. Emon successfully escaped, becoming convinced that Antan's long-held belief was true: Tomaas Azzameen consistently took excessive risks.

Emon and Antan jointly decided to evacuate Azzameen Station and seek refuge in the Outer Rim, although Antan kept his intended destination secret from Emon. They intended to gather essential supplies from their storage facilities. However, their plans were disrupted when the Viraxo launched an attack on the facilities. Emon managed to escape the ambush, but Antan was captured. He returned to the family home and met with Ace and Aeron. While they discussed their options, the Corrupter arrived. Left with no alternative, the three decided to seek assistance from the Rebellion, utilizing emergency coordinates provided to Aeron by her friend, Olin Garn. As the Corrupter commanded the siblings to halt their flight and return to the Base, Emon defiantly retorted, "Not today, bootlicker."
Upon arriving at the Defiance, Emon ensured the safety of his two younger relatives before departing to address family matters, among other concerns. Emon successfully located Antan's prison, a XQ5 Platform known as Viraxo Industries, held by the Viraxo. With Ace's assistance, Emon rescued Antan from the Viraxo. Following the rescue, he embarked on a campaign to create difficulties for both the Viraxo and the Empire.
Soon after, he and Ace traveled to Destreg II with the intention to destroy K'Armyn Viraxo aboard his Personal Luxury Yacht 3000, the Highroller. However, they discovered that K'Armyn had been forewarned and had set a trap. Ace and Emon managed to destroy the Highroller and eliminate the bounty hunters sent to kill them, escaping before the arrival of Imperial forces.
When the family was relocated to the Liberty, Emon encountered a beautiful young woman named Lady Blue, the previous year's "Miss Liberty". He persuaded her to go on a date with Ace, falsely portraying Ace as 'a great guy' (later admitting to Ace that he had lied). Sadly, Lady Blue was killed in the Japai system during a reconnaissance mission before the date could occur. Emon was unable to attend her funeral.

Emon then embarked on what Aeron termed a 'secret mission'. However, Emon was captured and imprisoned at an Imperial prison facility called Quesna Base. Ace and Dunari, an old friend of Tomaas and a recent 'business partner' of the Rebellion, launched a successful rescue operation at the prison colony. Emon was taken back to Dunari's Rest for recuperation, which included complimentary food and beverages, an offer that Emon readily accepted.
At some point, he intervened in an attack by a smuggler named S'Artak on civilian cargo ferries in the Taborin system. He successfully defeated S'Artak, causing the other smugglers to scatter. He then informed his brother that he was returning home to the Liberty.
Later, after discovering that the Azzameen home had been transformed into a base for mercenaries and pirates, Emon participated in the strike force that recaptured the base. During the mission, Emon discovered that Antan's ship, the Big Score, was present at the battle. Antan soon contacted his siblings, promising to explain his presence there. He also revealed that Galin and Tomaas were still alive, held in a large prison complex near Kessel.
After Emon's Andrasta and Ace and Aeron in the Otana followed the Big Score to a Golan III platform near Kessel called Kessel Station, it was revealed that Tomaas and Galin were not actually there. It was also revealed that Antan had betrayed Ace, Aeron, and Emon to the Empire. The Azzameen siblings managed to defend themselves from the approaching TIE fighters until Dunari unexpectedly arrived and helped them escape the ambush. Following this betrayal, Emon vowed to make Antan pay for his treachery and presumably began to pursue him.
In sharp contrast to his calm and thoughtful older brother Galin, Emon was characterized by his hot-headedness, impulsiveness, and tendency towards violence. However, he also demonstrated a deep concern for the well-being of his family, frequently going to great lengths to protect them. Emon was responsible for rescuing his sister Aeron after she was forced to abandon the Selu, ensuring that Ace escaped the rebel hospital alive, and devising the plan to rescue his uncle Antan.
Accompanying his impulsive nature was a significant degree of impatience and a strong desire to expedite tasks whenever possible.
Emon's volatile temper often led him into perilous situations that could have been easily avoided, such as the unprovoked attack on the Enkidu in neutral space, which disrupted his plans to treat Ace to a celebratory drink. On several occasions, Emon attempted to avenge past grievances, often without careful consideration. His desire for revenge against the Viraxo led him to blindly lead Ace into a trap, acting impulsively on limited information about K'Armyn Viraxo's location. He was later imprisoned by the Empire, likely due to a similarly ill-conceived plan for revenge.
Despite these tendencies, Emon was not averse to relaxation or exploiting a friend's generosity, as demonstrated by his extended recuperation at Dunari's residence after his prison break, where he made every effort to consume as much food and drink as possible at Dunari's expense.
The origin of Emon Azzameen's distinctive Irish accent, which sets him apart from his family, remains unexplained. His name also bears a resemblance to the common Irish name Eamon. Nick Jameson provided the voice for Emon.
