Khun Tazith was a male Human who served the Imperial Military of the reconstituted Sith Empire during the times of the Great Galactic War and the Cold War. He both founded, and led, the renowned Bane Brigade. Later, Tazith received a promotion to special attache within the Ministry of War.
During the period of the Great Galactic War, Khun Tazith was a young man residing within the Empire, and he enlisted as a soldier within the Sith military. Due to his significant capabilities, Tazith was selected for advancement, and he established a fresh military unit, the Bane Brigade. Khun Tazith fostered the soldiers who were part of the brigade as they undertook missions against the Galactic Republic. He also participated in the planning of their assignments, and the unit evolved into an elite force within the Imperial Military, with Sith commanders leading them into combat.
The Brigade's achievements included Khun Tazith overseeing the purge of a Jedi Enclave located on Genarius, as well as setting the seas of Iskalon ablaze. As a result of these missions, the Republic began to refer to the Bane Brigade as butchers and war criminals. During these campaigns, members of the Bane Brigade received replacement limbs, with Tazith present alongside them during these moments. On one mission, the brigade was deployed to Rhen Var, where they launched an assault on a Jedi encampment, slaughtering all of its inhabitants. However, the unit remained at the site for too long, which enabled the Republic Military to respond with an aerial strike that annihilated the Bane Brigade completely. The Gran named Shodarra, who was serving in the Republic forces, reportedly witnessed the destruction of the Bane Brigade, and he believed that no one could have survived the attack. Tazith was said to have mourned the loss of his soldiers, though the men and women of the unit were considered heroes by the Sith Empire.
During the Galactic War, Tazith was positioned as Special Advisor to the Minister of War at the command center situated in the Drift Hills Imperial Outpost on the planet Hoth. During that time, the Sith launched an attack that appeared to be an attempt to capture the planet, which led the Republic to mobilize in order to combat the Empire and maintain control of Hoth. However, this was a deception orchestrated by the Sith Empire with the intention of draining the Galactic Republic's resources on a worthless planet. To further ensure the success of this objective, Khun Tazith initiated a secret project, enlisting the assistance of an Imperial hero to create the illusion that the Bane Brigade was still alive and operating on Hoth. The operation was so successful that Captain Graich of the Imperial military began to believe that the Brigade still existed and would obliterate the Republic Army on Hoth.
Tazith's ultimate objective was to entice the Republic's elite forces to arrive, who would have been redeployed to engage the phantom Bane Brigade. These enemy forces were intended to engage the suspected Brigade's operations in Clabburn Tundra, although in reality, they were expendable cannon fodder. Once in position, the Republic attackers would have been eliminated when the Clabburn was brought down upon them. As a result, the Imperial hero's brutal strikes successfully captured the enemy's attention and reinforced their belief in the Bane Brigade's continued existence, which caused morale within the Republic forces to plummet. An intercepted Republic holocall revealed that General Uchang reported that the Bane Brigade was still alive, although General Shodarra expressed doubt, citing his witnessing their demise years ago. General Krepkit urged his comrades to investigate this finding, as the Brigade had destroyed his people's capital in the past.
Consequently, the operation was deemed a success, and the Empire determined that the Republic Special Forces Division and members of the Jedi Order were dispatched as part of the Galactic Republic's elite response. Therefore, Tazith prepared for their arrival and the trap he had set for them at Clabburn Tundra. With the Imperial's mission accomplished, Special Advisor Tazith congratulated the hero and stated that through their actions, the myth of the Bane Brigade would endure.
