Kin Dragen
Within the group known as the Dragens, Kin Dragen identified as non-binary. In 3 ABY, they engaged in a conversation with Ronen Tagge, a member of the House of Tagge. Ronen later recounted that Kin made a "terribly rude" remark about his aunt, Lady Domina Tagge. Following this exchange, Ronen stated that he ensured Dragen's "manners corrected."
During that year, Ronen hosted a party in his penthouse situated in Canto Bight—the [capital](/article/capital] city located on the [Outer Rim](/article/outer_rim_territories] planet of Cantonica. A guest expressed surprise to Ronen regarding the absence of any Dragens at the event. In response, Ronen shared the details of Kin's alleged prior behavior and his subsequent actions to correct it the last time they spoke.
Behind the scenes
The third issue of the 2020 comic series Star Wars: Doctor Aphra included a mention of Kin Dragen. Alyssa Wong wrote the issue, and Marvel Comics published it on August 26, 2020. Before the comic's release, a preview article on StarWars.com, dated August 19 of that year, also referenced Dragen. Wong later confirmed via Twitter that the use of "they/them" pronouns for Dragen was intentional, signifying the character's non-binary gender.
