Plot summary

Kerra Holt, a Jedi Knight, stands alone as the only surviving member of a doomed Jedi mission aimed at disrupting the baradium production on the Daimanate planet Chelloa. Daiman, a Sith Lord, deceives Kerra, leading her to initiate an assault against his older brother, Odion. Despite her failure, Kerra manages to persuade Odion to abandon his scheme of obliterating Chelloa utilizing kinetic corruptors. Enraged, Daiman subjects his prisoner, Gorlan, to torture while expounding on his narcissistic philosophies. He further commands the complete obliteration of Jenith, a town accused of sheltering a Jedi Knight, and orders the arrest of the village heads from the ten mining settlements on Chelloa. Amidst the subsequent massacre, Kerra successfully saves Gorlan's family from the Sith troopers. The surviving individuals seek refuge in Arboth, a nearby town that houses the mobile complexes. Kerra once again sneaks into Daiman's stronghold, liberating Gorlan and the captured town leaders. Gorlan discloses that he and the late Rodian Skodo had employed a transmitter to communicate with the Jedi regarding Daiman's activities. However, Odion had intercepted these transmissions, gaining knowledge of the baradium operations. Gorlan also confesses to contacting Odion with the futile intention of diverting him away from Chelloa.

Following a discussion with Gorlan, Kerra comes to the realization that her primary objective is not to confront the Sith Lords, but rather to safeguard the Chelloa civilians by evacuating them to Republic Space. Before departing the compound, Kerra leaves a personalized message for Daiman, decapitating his cherished statues as a challenge to his perceived omnipresence. Meanwhile, Odion is gearing up to deploy his landing ships for a full-scale planetary invasion of Chelloa. Kerra, Gorlan, and the town leaders escape to Arboth. At the nearby spaceport, Kerra investigates the fleet of cargo freighters and transports that are supposedly intended to carry the workers meant to operate the mobile factories. Discovering that they are all vacant, she proposes a plan to evacuate the entire population of Chelloa, which consists of 60,000 sentient beings dispersed across ten mining towns. Gorlan concurs with Kerra's proposal and ignites his lightsaber, signifying his renewed dedication to the Jedi Order.
