The Kol Iben system was situated in the Outer Rim Territories' Arkanis sector, a single system removed from the Tatoo system. This system was comprised of the gas giant Kol Iben along with its rings and a number of moons that remains unconfirmed, one of which was Trask, an estuary moon. In approximately 9 ABY, the Mandalorian Din Djarin received the assignment to ferry a female Querm Rybet from Tatooine to Trask, enabling her to unite with her husband and fertilize their eggs on the aquatic ocean moon.
The initial reference to the gas giant system occurred in "Chapter 10: The Passenger," which was the second installment of the second season of The Mandalorian, a television show available on Disney+. Its initial visual depiction was in the subsequent episode, "Chapter 11: The Heiress."
