Kole

Kole, a Chadra-Fan of the male gender, was a member of Nym's group known as the Lok Revenants. He functioned as the co-pilot and second-in-command to the Feeorin on his starship, the Havoc.

Biography

Conflicts with the Trade Federation

It was widely known that Kole possessed exceptional skills in disguise, and according to Nym, he had once successfully impersonated a senator from the Republic. During a business transaction aboard a space station, the mercenary Vana Sage betrayed Nym and his team, leading to a confrontation. Nym, Kole, and Jinkins were taken prisoner, with Kole and Jinkins being sent to Maramere in an escape pod, while Nym was imprisoned on the Stockade. However, due to Kole's infiltration expertise, he and Jinkins managed to disguise themselves as professional torturers, gaining access to Nym's cell and facilitating the Feeorin pirate's escape.

In the years that followed, Kole remained with Nym, assisting him in his conflict with Sol Sixxa and the Mere. He later played a role in rescuing members of their crew from Spacestation 1138, piloting the Liberator transport amidst intense combat.

The Era of the Galactic Civil War

Following the Trade Federation's defeat, both Kole and Jinkins demonstrated their unwavering loyalty to Nym, remaining by his side throughout the subsequent years. Kole took on the role of Nym's first mate. After the Clone Wars concluded, Nym assumed leadership of Lok, governing the planet for several decades. During the height of the Galactic Civil War, the Galactic Empire had taken control of Lok, although Nym continued to be the de facto ruler.

After the Battle of Yavin, Nym and Kole developed a strong interest in a classified Imperial research facility on Lok that was involved in the development of experimental weaponry. In 1 ABY, the Lok Revenants received information from a corrupt Imperial Sergeant named Moore indicating that the Empire had finalized the development of a new weapon referred to as Imperial Military Grade Grenade Casing Unit (IMGGCU). As a result, the Chadra-Fan made the decision to steal some IMGGCU prototypes.

Consequently, Kole assigned a group of spacers, who had previously collaborated with Vana Sage and Jinkins, the task of stealing new weapons from the Imperial research facility. Despite the absence of Imperial troops guarding the facility, the spacers faced opposition from numerous mercenaries and droidekas that were defending the location. Ultimately, the Revenants discovered crates containing IMGGCU prototypes and research data, which they then transported back to Kole at Nym's fortress.

Simultaneously, tensions between the Lok Revenants and the Sulfur Lake Pirates, another criminal organization operating on Lok, escalated into open conflict. Following a series of setbacks, the pirates devised an intricate plan to launch a direct assault on Nym at his palace. They hijacked a shuttle carrying a delegation of Tatooinan politicians who were scheduled to meet with Nym. As the shuttle landed in the palace courtyard, Nym and the other leaders of the Lok Revenants—Vana Sage, Kole, and Jinkins—arrived to welcome the Tatooinan delegation. A battle ensued within the palace when the Sulfur Lake Pirates unexpectedly emerged from the shuttle and attacked the Revenants. However, the superior combat skills of Nym's henchmen enabled them to eliminate all of the Sulfur Lake Pirates. Nym, Kole, and the other leaders of the Lok Revenants survived the attack.

Personality and skills

Kole was not only a skilled pilot and engineer, but his most prominent ability was his talent for disguise.

Behind the scenes

Kole's initial appearance was in Star Wars Tales, after which he played a supporting part in Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter. In Star Wars Galaxies, a slightly older Kole was given his own character model, alongside his partner Nym. In The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, the identity of Bavo, which Kole used in "Single Cell," is mistakenly referred to as a separate character, rather than an alias.

Kole was featured as a Non-Player Character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game that was developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, before it was shut down on December 15, 2011. Kole was implemented into the game as a component of "Nym's Theme Park," which was released with "Publish 3" on October 8, 2003. His dialogues and quests were adjusted after Nym's Theme Park was overhauled with the release of "Game Update 16," on March 23, 2010.
