Krakana (Valor-class)
The Krakana served as the flagship for the Twenty-Ninth Fleet and was a Valor-class starship utilized by the Galactic Republic. Vice Admiral Dol Narlock held command of this vessel.
History
During the third Galactic War in 3627 BBY, the Krakana, along with the rest of the Twenty-Ninth Fleet, made a stop at Mek-Sha while en route to Corellia to reinforce the defenses of the Meridian Complex. While the ship was docked at Mek-Sha, the Sith Empire targeted it, with the goal of eliminating it and the entire fleet to prevent their arrival at Corellia.
However, the Alliance Commander intervened, thwarting the Empire's scheme to obliterate the ship. The Commander fought through Imperial forces, including Lord Tarnux and Major Anri, ultimately rescuing both the Krakana and the fleet.
Subsequently, the Krakana participated in the defense against the attack on the Meridian Complex, playing a crucial role in successfully repelling the Imperial Fleets.
Behind the scenes
The Krakana makes an appearance alongside the Twenty-Ninth Fleet in the Onslaught expansion of the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic. It is specifically mentioned by name within a codex entry dedicated to Vice Admiral Narlock. Depending on the player's choices, the fate of the Krakana will change. If the player character is either a Republic Loyalist or an Imperial Saboteur, they will be successful in saving the Krakana from destruction at the hands of the Empire. Conversely, if the player character aligns with the Imperial Loyalist or Republic Saboteur faction, they will succeed in destroying the Krakana, preventing its presence during the defense of the Meridian Complex.
