Kris Wahl was a Human male, originating from the planet of Cularin, and active during the closing years of the Galactic Republic; all of this occurred within the Legends continuity.
Kris, born into affluence thanks to his parents, Dr. and Mr. Wahl, never experienced the need to earn a living. Like his parents, Kris possessed several vices. However, unlike them, he also engaged in philanthropy, donating substantial sums of credits to various causes, including Gerta Haman's relief efforts aimed at assisting the Tarasin. His parents disapproved of his association with Haman, viewing her as an alarmist and a negative influence on Kris.
When Haman initiated the Cularin resistance in 31 BBY, Kris once again provided her with financial backing. Subsequently, he vanished to join the resistance at their headquarters located in the Cloud Mountain mines. Kris, who enjoyed heroic narratives, approached resistance members seeking stories about themselves, feigning interest in "knowing where his money was going."
Despite his considerable wealth, Kris occasionally accumulated gambling debts. At the time of his disappearance, he owed a man named Polst 1,138 credits.
One month after Kris joined the resistance, Haman made the decision to orchestrate a raid on the Metatheran Cartel jungle base with the goal of securing the final pieces of evidence needed to solidify their case against the Cartel. Given that some individuals within the base had prior experience at the jungle base, Haman tasked Wahl with interrogating them to extract any valuable intelligence about the jungle base. During this interrogation, the Cartel forces launched their own assault on the Cloud Mountain mines. The subsequent fate of Wahl remains shrouded in mystery.
Kris Wahl was known as both a ladies' man and a gambler. Kris intentionally cultivated the image of a rakish scoundrel through his attire, such as leaving his shirt partially unbuttoned. However, his clothing appeared to have been sourced from a costume shop. This, combined with his youthful appearance, created an effect that was more comical than debonair.
