Kuliquo belt

The Kuliquo Belt was a mining site located within a dark and airless asteroid field situated in the Inner Rim. During the Galactic Civil War, the Galactic Empire utilized this location to extract resources in support of their war efforts. In the year 3 ABY, a strike team composed of twenty rebel soldiers from the Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry was dispatched to the Kuliquo Belt with the mission to sabotage the mining equipment. Following the successful completion of this operation, one of the soldiers, known as Roach, came back with a piece of gold.

Description

Devoid of both atmosphere and light, the Kuliquo Belt was an asteroid field. Its location in the Inner Rim Territories placed it near the Rimma Trade Route, specifically at coordinates L-14 on the Standard Galactic Grid. The asteroids within the belt contained valuable resources, including gold.

History

The 61st Mobile Infantry targeted the Kuliquo belt asteroid mines during the Galactic Civil War.

Throughout the Galactic Civil War, the Galactic Empire engaged in mining operations on the asteroids of the Kuliquo Belt to obtain resources necessary for their war. In 3 ABY, the Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry selected the Kuliquo belt asteroid mines as a target within their Operation Ringbreaker campaign. This campaign, conceived by the former Imperial Everi Chalis, aimed to disrupt resource supply lines at various locations, compelling redeployments from the Kuat Drive Yards, which was the 61st's ultimate objective. As planned by the 61st's captain, Hazram Namir, a trusted strike force of twenty rebel soldiers was sent to sabotage the mining machinery.

Following the successful completion of their assigned task, the soldiers rejoined the rest of their company. Roach, one of the soldiers Namir was encouraged to include in the strike force, presented the captain with a fist-sized piece of gold that she had obtained during the mission. Simultaneously, the Rebel Alliance Intelligence Service conducted a review of Operation Ringbreaker. General Crix Madine included the Kuliquo Belt in a report as one of the initial targets of the campaign. Later on, the archivist Hendri Underholt acquired this report and incorporated it into The Rebel Files, a collection of non-electronic documents maintained by the Rebel Alliance.
