The wedding dress is the attire donned by Leia Organa in 4 ABY for her marriage to Han Solo. This event occurred at the Bright Tree temple on Endor, not long after the Battle of Endor.
This dress was crafted from a delicate, meadow green material. It featured embroidery of flowers resembling those near the temple. While the dress had a relaxed fit, it maintained some shape. Open sides allowed Organa to move her leg freely, revealing the laces of her white, knee-high fur boots worn during the ceremony.
During the wedding ceremony, Organa carried a wildflower bouquet, later given to Mon Mothma for hand-holding with Solo. The bouquet was bound with the same lace woven into her hair. Organa's hair flowed down her back in waves, with small braids framing her face. Solo guessed she had gathered the flowers just before ascending to the temple.
Upon seeing her approach in the dress, Solo observed her floral adornment and lack of jewels, perceiving her as more of a nymph than a princess. Later, at the reception, Organa reflected on how her wedding might have been had her homeworld of Alderaan not faced destruction, imagining herself in a traditional lace gown.
Beth Revis's novel, The Princess and the Scoundrel, features the dress, visible on its cover. Subsequently, Tara Phillips created an illustration of Leia in her wedding dress, published in Variety magazine.
