Loka Hask, a Human male pirate of ill repute, bore the responsibility for the demise of Wedge Antilles's parents. During the era of the Galactic Civil War, he aligned himself with the Imperial Navy, leveraging his assets—including his own Interdictor-class Star Destroyer, known as the Dominator—to relentlessly pursue Rogue Squadron.
Loka Hask's time as a student at the Imperial Academy on Carida revealed his distinct lack of aptitude as a fighter pilot. His arrogance, coupled with blatant corruption, brought his days as a cadet to an abrupt end. Upon returning home, he discovered his father, a criminal, had been executed. Utilizing his late father's clandestine cache of credits, Hask financed a pirate organization that saw its power grow throughout the Galactic Civil War.
In an attempt to dismantle his criminal enterprise, the Corellian Security Force assembled a force substantial enough to launch an ambush against Hask and his gang's leadership. The surviving members of the gang sought refuge at a fuel station owned by Wedge Antilles' parents. Tragically, the ambush went awry, resulting in both Jagged and Zena Antilles sacrificing themselves to protect countless innocent lives. They piloted a critically damaged fueling module away from the main space station just before it exploded. Hask managed to escape the disastrous ambush, only to be pursued by a young Wedge Antilles, who sought vengeance aboard Hask's flagship, the Buzzzer. Hask fled using a vacsuit, but not without consequence. A Corellian limpet resided within the vacsuit, permanently attaching itself to the left side of his face, resulting in a grotesque disfigurement.
Years later, Hask was reinstated as an officer within the Imperial ranks. Serving as the chief negotiator for the Empire on the world of Mrlsst concerning the Phantom Project cloaking device technology, he once more encountered Wedge Antilles and fabricated charges against him. Antilles was subsequently freed by the holographic image of Jedi Knight Taj Junak. Enraged, Hask ordered the bombardment of the Academy grounds on Mrlsst and launched a raid on a scientific laboratory situated on a nearby asteroid that housed the technology for the secret Gravitic polarization beam weapon. To prevent this technology from falling into the hands of the Empire, Rogue Squadron and the scientist made the decision to activate the weapon within the asteroid lab, destroying all related data. Hask, in his attempt to seize the weapon for himself, was in close proximity when it was activated. The weapon generated a hyperspace wormhole that obliterated the base and Loka's Interdictor-class Star Destroyer.
