Lord Mirdalan, also known as Mird or affectionately as Mird'ika, was the pet strill of Walon Vau. Because strills uniquely possessed multiple reproductive organs, it was common and accepted to refer to Mird as "it" in both speech and writing. Kal Skirata and his Null troopers held Mird in contempt due to its species' unpleasant odor and its attack on a young Ordo. During its time on Kamino, Mird was responsible for the death of a lower-caste blue-eyed Kaminoan during the Grand Army of the Republic's training on Kamino. During the Clone Wars, Mird went with Vau to Coruscant and even assisted in some missions while accompanying Kal Skirata as part of his civilian disguise when dealing with Separatist terrorists.
Following Walon Vau's heist on Mygeeto to recover his family's assets, Mirdalan chose to stay with him when he became stuck in an ice worm hole. Mird assisted in leading Kal Skirata to Vau's location and helped warm him by covering his body with its own.
Later, Mird accompanied Vau and Skirata aboard the ship Aay'han in their search for the former chief geneticist Ko Sai, and later to Mandalore, where Etain Tur-Mukan was hiding before giving birth to her son, Venku. Mirdalan built a nest the night before the birth and presented a freshly-killed shatual to honor the occasion, which both surprised and moved those present, especially Rav Bralor.
Lord Mirdalan was very fond of Venku Skirata, Etain's child, and would construct nests for him, much to the dismay of Ordo Skirata because they were often made from his bed linens and clothing.
After Vau's death, Jaing Skirata took possession of Lord Mirdalan, fulfilling his promise to Walon Vau to care for it.
When Boba Fett and his granddaughter Mirta Gev sought Skirata to reverse the clone degeneration that was slowly killing Fett, Skirata and Mird ambushed them in Slave I. Skirata informed them that the data from Ko Sai they were looking for was no longer available.
Jaing and Mird were present at the marriage ceremony of Mirta and Ghes Orade.
