Luce

title: Luce

A Nightsister belonging to Mother Talzin's clan, Luce was a female Dathomirian. During the Battle of Dathomir, she wielded two blasters in combat before her death at the hands of the Separatist Droid Army.

Biography

Living on Dathomir, Luce was a member of the Nightsisters within Mother Talzin's clan. Her skills as a warrior were well-honed.

Count Dooku, the Separatist leader, gave the order for the extermination of the Nightsisters. Consequently, General Grievous and his Separatist Droid Army were dispatched to eradicate the clan. As Separatist landing craft began to deploy their droid forces, Luce and her fellow Nightsisters, under the guidance of Asajj Ventress, Dooku's former apprentice, prepared to defend their home. Initially, Luce employed an energy bow in the conflict, later acquiring two E-5 blaster rifles taken from fallen BX-series droid commandos. The ranks of the Nightsisters were bolstered by the undead Nightsisters, resurrected through the magick of Old Daka.

The droid forces retaliated by deploying the Defoliator Deployment Tank in an attempt to flush the Nightsisters out of their cover. This forced Luce and her comrades to abandon the relative safety of the trees. Luce, along with other Nightsisters, seized control of several Armored Assault Tanks. As the undead cleared a path for Ventress towards Grievous, Luce and the remaining Nightsisters engaged the droids in intense combat. Witnessing Ventress's injury, Luce moved to assist her, even as the undead overwhelmed Grievous. However, while helping Ventress retreat from the battle, Luce was fatally shot in the back by a B1-series battle droid, which Ventress promptly destroyed using the Force. As Ventress cradled her dying comrade, Luce urged her to flee and save herself before succumbing to her wound. The battle concluded shortly thereafter, with Ventress and Talzin as the sole survivors of the massacre.
