The Malachor III Expedition refers to a venture executed by the Jedi Order during the era of the Great Galactic War. Its objective was to unearth ancient Sith mysteries on Malachor III, a deceased planet formerly controlled by the Sith. Regrettably, the Jedi underestimated the perils present there, dispatching a mere six Padawans: Parkanas Tark, Yuon Par, Duras Fain, Sidonie Garen, Eriz Vossan, and Cin Tykan. Upon their landing, they roused the dark spirit of Terrak Morrhage, a deceased Sith Lord from the resurgent Sith Empire. Morrhage's spectral form manipulated the Padawans' feelings, causing them to lose their sanity. Although the majority of the group successfully fled the planet, Tark was abandoned and subjected to Morrhage's torment. Ultimately, Morrhage's malevolent spirit corrupted and seized control of Tark.
