March of Silence

The March of Silence, situated inside the Chiss Syndicure's Convocate Hall, was a sizable chamber. Its unique sound characteristics prevented eavesdropping on discussions. Consequently, it evolved into a favored, impartial venue for Syndics and other Aristocra from various Chiss families. They could convene discreetly in the March, avoiding any appearance of vulnerability by visiting another's chambers. Constructed millennia prior to the Clone Wars, the March of Silence was rumored to have been created for the Nine Ruling Families to discipline, and at times even execute, their adversaries.

From the period when they held the position of Councilors onward, Syndics Mitth'urf'ianico and Irizi'stal'mustro engaged in clandestine meetings within its walls. Their purpose was to devise a plan to undermine the professional trajectory of officer Thrawn. As they formulated this subversive strategy, Councilor Thurfian contemplated the symbolic significance of the March's alleged past, a site where individuals convicted of treason were punished. He pondered if either Thrawn, or he and Councilor Zistalmu, might one day face censure within the March itself.
